What would Putin do?

The policies of Obama Administration, the Progressive Agenda, the Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton were repudiated by the American people on Election Day – November 8, 2016. No doubt it was another devastating defeat by the Democratic Party and it continued their longer-term trend of crushing defeats at the polls in national plus state local elections. President Donald J. Trump came to the office determined to enact a specific populist agenda that is distinctly outside of the political mainstream and diametrically opposed to the progressive Obama Administration of the last eight years. Hillary Clinton positioned herself as strongly aligned with Obama’s agenda and campaigned to continue moving the country ever more towards a politically left-wing dominated future if she had won.

To explain Clinton’s defeat, a scheme worthy of the master of deception – Bernie Madoff was concocted by and conveniently and quickly subscribed to by leading Democratic Party elected officials, the Left wing dominated Mass Media and cultural allies. They created a coordinated campaign that included large doses of fake news to accuse the Trump campaign of working in conjunction with Vladimir Putin to influence the election without producing any tangible evidence or for that matter any logical explanation of why Putin would do so. What would be Putin’s motivation?

The Democratic Party and the Left wing dominated mass media cannot by their very nature concede defeat so they continue to battle for power at all costs, using overtly deceptive tactics to mount what they label as a Resistance Movement on a massive scale to oppose everything and everything related to Trump. Regaining power by any means necessary dominates the Progressive Left’s agenda while doing the essential work in behalf of the America people remains a distraction for them.

There is much speculation and debate regarding who Putin really wanted to win the American election – Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton? Both sides can agree that Putin and the Russians are working in many ways and on many levels to undermine America and American interests. As a matter of speculation, what type of policies would Putin desire for an incoming American President to follow to undermine America’s power, position in the world and the very fabric of our society. If Putin as a sinister yet savvy operator was provided a real opportunity to influence American policy to work for the long-term detriment of our country, what would he favor? The following is a representative Putin Agenda for America certain to undermine our country over time:

• Be an advocate of a domestic agenda dominated by the concerns of social justice and identity politics
• Promote open borders and unlimited immigration
• Expand Government’s role in the Healthcare system
• Promote Global Interests ahead of domestic American Interests
• Align and coordinate the Media and Cultural Elements to meet your agenda and suppress free speech on university campuses
• War against and subvert the power of the Police
• Weaken the economic and social power of the Middle Class and the family structure and increase the level of Government dependency by the poor
• Increase the scope of Government with a focused program of increased regulation and the power by various Federal agencies such as the EPA and grow the importance of Crony Capitalism.
• Support various provisions of the Paris Climate Change agenda to transfer America’s wealth to third world countries and make very limited demands on China and India who are the world’s primary polluters.
• Grow deficient spending to historically high levels and maintain a high level of taxes on individuals and corporations.
• Limit domestic energy production and any additional moves to energy independence. Promote alternative energy sources such as solar and wind power at the expense of coal, oil and natural gas.
• Leverage the power of the surveillance state by the security agencies such as the FBI, IRS and CIA against your political opponents and encourage official corruption by several key members of your Administration
• Grow the power of the Executive Branch and Courts and deliberately circumvent the Constitutional requirements for proper power sharing and oversight by Congress.
• Deny that Radical Islam is the root cause of increasing terrorism around the world.
• Weaken the American Military with a deliberate program of under investment
• Retreat on the world stage from the traditional role of world leadership and follow an official posture of standing down on many of the most important security risks challenging this country including Iraq and Syria which lead to the emergence of ISIS.
• Blame America on the world stage for many of the world’s toughest conflicts and challenges.
• Continue to aid the most dangerous supporter of terrorism in the world Iran in developing nuclear weapons and neglect to rein in North Korea’s nuclear program.
• Officially oppose former loyal and supportive allies such as Israel and Egypt

If Putin had the power to do so, he would with great enthusiasm adopt the Obama/Clinton Agenda and make it his own in order to continue to negatively transform America. In other words, to maximize the potential for the worst possible outcome for America, Putin logically would have favored a Clinton win. Putin would approve of her win because it would have resulted in an even  a more diminished America over the next several years, thereby, greatly promoting Russian interests.

A common theme found across all the agenda items listed above is they share at their most fundamental level policies that favor global and more government power at the expense of individual freedom. A Clinton win would have permanently changed the course of our history by moving us away from the principles of our Founding and the bedrock of what makes us so successful and powerful as a nation. She would have accelerated the movement to replace our great American freedom based experiment in government with an ever more powerful Social Democracy. Therefore, it can be said with a great deal of confidence that Putin certainly was not in favor of the candidate campaigning on a platform of “Make America Great Again.” to win.
